She will now be offering sessions every Wednesday from 10am to 1:30pm. If you wanted more acupuncture in your life, here is your chance!

Below you can find more details about her practice, pricing, & an exclusive interview.

You can learn about the variety of treatment offerings & prices/packages for healing arts at Karuna on our new Healing Arts page!

Healing Arts Page

Since we are incorporating Kristin’s practice more fully at the center, we have changed our “Shiatsu” page on the website to a “Healing Arts" page. Here you can find all the same things as before and more! All links with the “/shiatsu” should now be redirected to “/healing-arts”. Please take a moment to explore the new webpage by clicking the button on this page or the one at the top on our menu.

Interview with Kristin

Q: Are you excited to join Karuna?
A: I am thrilled! While my regular acupuncture practice is in Amherst, Paul
and I have been offering micro retreats at Karuna for nearly 2 years now so
it feels like a natural transition for my practice make more of its way here.

Q: You’re a five element acupuncturist. Can you tell the readers what
makes that different?
A: Five element acupuncture focuses on the deepest level of a patient,
reaching them at their root level rather than at the branches (symptoms) for
optimal, long-term healing. It generally uses less needles, offers gentle
techniques, and is a wonderfully transformative experience.

Q: And what do you typically treat at your practice?
A: I most often work with mental health and chronic conditions. I do a lot of work with postpartum women and also help those suffering with addictions. A couple of years ago I completed an extensive training in pediatrics and at that time expanded my practice to treat all ages.

Q: Pediatric acupuncture?
A: Yes! I know people don’t always think about children and acupuncture,
but it is an excellent healing modality for them.

Q: Do you use needles on them?
A: I offer needle-free options for children and also for adults as needed. I
don’t always have to use needles, there are so many different tools I have
in my toolbox to help someone heal. When I do use needles on children, I
use special pediatric ones that are even smaller than the already small
needles I use.

Q: Awesome. Is there anything else you’d like to say?
A: I am just so thrilled to be a bigger part of this wonderful community. I’ve already met so many amazing people through my time here and I’m sure my practice at Karuna will quickly be a nice blend of familiar faces and new
ones.
