Big Bag of Bags Raffle
The winner of the BIG BAG OF BAGS RAFFLE wins a one-of-a-kind 25th anniversary tote bag, 2 10-pound sand bags, and an eye pillow. The big bag of bags has an $80 value. Raffle tickets are $10. All proceeds go to our fund.

Thursday evenings are for special topics for fundraising. New topics to be announced VERY soon.
Our Goal for Fundraising
The fundraising goal for cooling Karuna is $30,000. The building managers and owners cannot pay this fee and the center cannot fund this fee from its profits. Our fundraising journey is necessary to keep this space we love so much viable for our community now and in the future.
In 2024 we begin Karuna’s 25th year. Let us make this year the year that we secure the future of our beloved sanctuary.
How To Give - Working Together
To begin, we are introducing you to our GoFundMe page. All donations are welcome, from $1 to $1000. We'll need the full support of everyone in our community to kick-off and sustain this fundraising effort. You will find a donate button to our gofundme account at the top of the page.
As we progress throughout the year, you will learn of many opportunities for you to be involved in this mission. Options to attend fundraising classes, workshops, special yoga and healing events, purchase t-shirts and promotional items, and more.
Do you have time to donate? We are looking for volunteers to donate their time for planning, advising, organizing, event help, and more.

Our Challenge - Why Do We Need this Money?
As Karuna moves forward, we need to ensure its future by adapting to the rising climate impact on our sanctuary. The increase in summer heat is making cooling the space more difficult. We have used fans, spray bottles, building ventilation, and many other band aids to cool the space. But during longer heat waves, it is impossible to remedy the heat and humidity when it just won’t let up.
Because of our situation, I have made the decision to raise funds for the cooling of Karuna Center for Yoga and Healing Arts. These funds will be used to purchase three mini splits to cool the main sanctuary space and the office/treatment room. Part of the funds will be used for installation of the units themselves, electrical, drainage, and exhaust.
The cooling will be used to remedy the hotter days and make all of Karuna’s offerings more comfortable in the heat of summer.
Who We Are
Karuna Center for Yoga and Healing Arts is located at 25 Main St Northampton MA and is one of the most beautiful and inspiring places in Massachusetts, with its tall arched ceilings and open space. It has served an expansive community for almost 25 years. Housed in an extraordinary space, Karuna has been a leader of yoga and healing arts in Western Massachusetts since 1999. It has been the home for yogis, meditators, dancers, devotional singers, tai chi, and more. Karuna sanctuary is also used as a community space for groups that need space to gather, celebrate, heal, and connect. The center has held space for training hundreds of yoga teachers while also acting as a school for healers to learn and develop their craft. Karuna is available to people of all ages, abilities, ethnicities and genders.
One of the greatest joys we know as a community is observing students greet each other after years, sometimes decades of not seeing each other. Returning to this sacred space, we know we are held and supported. This space is not only a place to meet and practice yoga, it has been a second home, a refuge, and a temple.
