Yoga Your Road Trip

Are you planning on taking a road trip this summer? As we know, sitting for long periods of time can create stiffness and discomfort.  When you stop to gas up your car or to get some food, take a few minutes to stretch. You can even use your car as a tool for quick yoga practice.  The secret is to stretch the quadriceps, hamstrings, and move the spine in every direction. Here are some poses to try:
  • Downward facing dog with your hands on the trunk of your car.
  • Forearm downward dog
  • Upward facing dog with your hands on the trunk
  • Extended leg pose
  • Standing
  • Forward bend
  • Wall twist using your car’s bumper
  • Savasana
