The healing art of Thai Yoga Massage is a ancient holistic practice with roots in Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga. It has been a part of the Buddhist spiritual practice as well as their practice of medicine for centuries. In this powerful system, ”disease” is seen as an imbalance in the living energy system of the body and therefore provides an opportunity to cultivate a greater connection to ones path and healing practice. Thai Yoga Therapy works with the energy (sen) lines of the body so that stuck energy is moved and balance can be restored. This system encourages a greater mobility, a powerful stress and tension relief and an increase in vitality and well being. The practice incorporates a rhythmic bodywork session that combines asana (yogic stretching), gentle twisting, acupressure and energy work while bringing one into a deep state of relaxation. It is a powerful catalyst in deepening the connection between the body, mind, and spirit. not only for the receiver but also in giver.  You will acquire the skills, tools, and tips for a successful healing practice.  This training is open to anyone sincerely interested in healing work. It is a valuable addition for yoga teachers, massage therapists, and healing arts practitioners. Each day, we begin with a healing yoga and meditation practice. We practice on mats on the floor in comfortable clothes and without the use of oils or lotions. No prior yoga or massage experience is required.

Jamie is certified by the 500 -hour teacher training program at Karuna Center for Yoga and Healing Arts and is also a Qi Gong teacher, Holistic Health and Wellness Coach, Detox Specialist, and Thai Yoga Body Worker. She regards her work as a gift and opportunity to assist others by restoring well-­being and simultaneously connecting to their truths.
